This is one of those movies that you try really hard to enjoy because you want to enjoy it. And even if you left the theatre having had fun, you can’t help but admit to yourself that it was a terrible movie. It relies heavily on pleasing the viewer through Nostalgia from the original trilogy; we are meant to be so happy to see those characters again that we won’t care how stupid the movie is, how transparently (and uninterestingly) they have simply lifted the plot from Episode IV. I wont’ get into how many levels this movie sucked. But overall the production managed to evoke healthy doses of disgust and disappointment.
